wearing nothing new
We’re on a spending fast, so I’m particularly attracted to ideas like this.
Jessi Arrington packed nothing but 7 pairs of undies for her trip to Palm Springs and bought everything she wore for the week at thrift shops. When the week was over, she donated it all back.
I’m leaving for New York on Friday to attend/co-host my sister’s bridal shower. I have nothing to wear. NOTHING. I mean that. I’m nursing and my boobs are bigger than ever and I’ll have to actually nurse AT the event. So unless I want to pull a giant boob out OVER the top of a dress, I’ll need to figure something else out. This talk was just the inspiration I needed.

random tidbits
1.0) My back is out. I had two unmedicated births and let me tell you, BACK PAIN IS RIGHT UP THERE. Interesting though, how much being down for the count can give you some much-needed perspective.
2.0) Chiropractors rule. Especially when you’re exclusively breastfeeding and can’t take any of the big gun drugs.
3.) My baby! Look at her! She’s a powerhouse; determined not to be left in the dust by her siblings. She rolled over at 2.5 months and at 3.5 has a little tooth poking through! Exclamation point!
4.) Did I tell you about Eat to Live? I’m doing it and it’s incredible. I’m only eating fruit, vegetables, beans, nuts and seeds and I’m totally satisfied and happy with it. Also, I started wearing Toms of Maine deodorant. I think I might be a hippie.
5.) Kansas City sucks shit in the summer. It’s 100 degrees. My friend Ginger said, “I’m fairly certain that they have better weather in Hell.”
