mommalou gift guide : part deux

I never have more than 30 minutes to sit down and put together a post, that’s why these are coming in segments. Anyway…let’s carry on.

6. XYZ blocks. these are hands down the coolest blocks I’ve seen – perfect for any under 5′s in your life and the grownups who play with them.

7. This Cartoons and Comics t-shirt done by my friend, Paul, is sure to please any comic book nerds on your list. Because outdoors is bullshit, indeed.

8. Haters gonna hate letterpess print. I’m sure you remember the haters gonna hate animated gif? I love it. To death. And now it’s available in a print.

9. These gloves are iPhone (and I would imagine any smart phone) compatible, so you don’t have to take your gloves off to deal with your phone when it rings or you get a text. Genius!

10. Tubation. This is one of those toys that has gotten A TON of use at our house and is sort of hard to find. It looks… well… not very exciting but kids love it and use these tubes to make all kinds of things (guns, phones, secret passageways in dollhouses).

mommalou gift guide : part 1

I love gift guides. Well, I love lists of any kind. Lists of cool things to buy as gifts? Awesome.

There are a lot of people in my life that seem to everything, so I tend to gravitate toward cool novelty gifts that are at least somewhat functional. Because, let’s face it, if it’s not somewhat functional, it’s lame.

1. Cakewich. GENIUS and needs no explanation.

2. The only calendar you’ll ever need. The Futuro perpetual calendar comes with everything you need to make this calendar work FOREVER.

3. Need a few more USB ports? On a BATTLESHIP?

4. Tapi. This would make a great stocking stuffer. It turns your tap into a drinking fountain! Which is perfect if your tap water doesn’t taste disgusting. Mine does. Still – good enough for rinsing after brushing your teeth. And big novelty points.

5. I don’t think you even need to be a Tarantino fan to appreciate this Bad Mother Fucker wallet.
